Internal joinery completed on a £15m, 16 storey 257 bed student accommodation block in the centre of Sheffield. On completion we had installed 700 doors including associated ironmongery and over 15,000m of architrave and skirting. Our package also included the window boards numerous boxings and pattresses. The project is located adjacent the University of Sheffield campus and next to very busy road requiring a high level of logistical planning for material delivery and distribution. Another great project to be involved in for a fantastic client.
Key Considerations
An extremely tight site directly adjacent to the main ring road so the logistics of storage and distribution of materials had to be strictly managed.
Due to the project being multi-storey involving multiple trades, close co-ordination and effective collaborative planning with the other trades and the site team was essential to delivery a safe and high quality finish.
