We are pleased to announce that we have completed the above site in Nottinghamshire. The scheme was to provide the first and second fix joinery to eight new-build detached houses and the sympathetic conversion of 3 barns into bespoke dwellings.
The works included installation of roof trusses (including feature king post trusses), joists and timber flooring and timber stairs and handrails. Also included in the first fix was the on-site manufacture and installation of insulated timber “cassettes” to the inside of the existing external walls to achieve the necessary thermal and airtight requirements.
The second fix included installation of the doors, skirts and ironmongery, boxings, and bath panels. In addition to this we also installed the external windows and doors to the barn conversions. This was quite a unique project given that the barns were derelict and completely open to the elements. The aim was to preserve and reinstate as many of the original features as possible.
